Nov 13: Mozart & Strauss
Amici
Romanian conductor Cristian Mandeal conducts the WSO in this program of Mozart & Richard Strauss. Profoundly spiritual and memorably themed, Mozart’s 40th Symphony is unlike anything he ever wrote. Also featured is WSO principal oboist Bede Hanley as he performs Strauss’ Oboe Concerto, written in the last years of Strauss’ life.
Jan 22: Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony
Fude Inspired Cuisine & Wine Bar
Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony is one of the most entertaining orchestral works by a French composer and one of the most popular in all music.
Feb 12: Romantic Rendezvous
Bergmann’s On Lombard
Spend Valentine’s Day weekend enjoying excerpts from your favourite classical music written for love with music by Tchaikovsky: Romeo & Juliet; Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 21; and Mendelssohn: Midsummer Night’s Dream.
