Who was your idol growing up?
Paul McCartney! I love him!

What is your favourite piece to play?
Anything by Richard Strauss. His father was an amazing horn player so the horn often plays the role of the hero in his music. He really knew how to write for the horn!

What is one of your most memorable live performances?
Mahler 9 with Andre Boreyko. The most compelling part of live performance is the collective energy in the room. The energy during that performance was electric!

What are some of your hobbies?
I am a huge animal lover and I just ran my first half-marathon with some of my WSO colleagues.

What or who inspires you?
Playing great music alongside great musicians. That’s why I’m so thankful to be here in Winnipeg.

If you could have dinner with one historical figure, who would that be?
Mozart. Seems like he would be a whole lot of fun!
