Who was your idol growing up?
My great grandmother, Emma Olesk. She was a nurse in the Russian Revolution and both World Wars!

What is your favourite piece to play?
Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony

What is one of your most memorable live performances?
My very first, in grade 9. It was a duet with my teacher.

What are some of your hobbies?
I sketch and paint

What or who inspires you?
My children inspire me to not take things too seriously

If you could have dinner with one historical figure, who would that be?
The Dalai Lama.
