Applications are invited from senior music students, who perform at the auditions each spring. Adjudicators are drawn from the ranks of professional musicians and teachers. The 2011 auditions were held on May 28, 2011, at the Eva Clare Hall, Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba.
These artists, whose short biographies follow, will perform in our Scholarship Winners’ Recital at 7.00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011.
Students value the opportunity to increase their performance experience, and this concert is a perennial favourite with our subscribers, and also with the general public. Tickets $20 available in December at McNally Robinson Booksellers (all major credit cards accepted) or at the door (cash or cheque only). Student tickets $5 each are available at the door only.
